How we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit our website or write to us.

Last updated

In short

  • We only collect what you send us when you write to us, plus analytics about how our website is used.
  • We never sell your information, and our analytics never include your name, email address or phone number.
  • We don’t use advertising cookies, social media trackers or tracking pixels.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

Who we are

Ignaite is an AI video production studio: we make brand films and commercials. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Ignaite.

This policy covers our website, ignaite.agency, and the emails we exchange with you.

What we collect

We collect personal information when you give it to us, and some information automatically when you use our website.

When you use our contact form

The form sends nothing by itself: it opens your own email app with a message to us, written out from what you typed (your name and email address and, if you add them, your phone number and a few words about your project). We receive it only if you send it.

When you email us

Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you browse our website

Details of your visit: the pages and parts of the page you view, the films you play, the links and buttons you use, the website or campaign that sent you, and your device, browser and approximate location (city or country). None of this includes your name, email address or phone number. See Analytics and cookies.

When you’re our client

The contact details of the people we work with, billing details, and the material you share for your project, which we use as our agreement sets out.

You can watch our films and read our website without telling us who you are.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Reply to your messages and talk about your project.
  • Make and deliver the films we agree on, including invoicing.
  • Understand how our website is used, and improve it.
  • Keep our website and the information we hold secure.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

We don’t send marketing emails you didn’t ask for, and we don’t use your personal information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how people use our website: which pages and sections they view, which films they play and what they click. It tells us what’s working and what isn’t.

  • It never receives your name, email address or phone number: our website sends none of them.
  • Google signals and advertising features are off, so your visit isn’t used to build advertising profiles.
  • Google Analytics doesn’t store your IP address. It uses it to estimate your city or country, then discards it.
  • We keep analytics data for 14 months.

Google Analytics recognises your browser between visits with two cookies on our own domain. They’re the only cookies our website sets:

_ga Google Analytics · 2 years
Tells one browser from another, so we can count visitors.
_ga_… Google Analytics · 2 years
Keeps track of your current visit.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Our website works the same without them. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Our films

Our films stream from Gumlet, our video hosting provider. When the page plays them, Gumlet receives technical details such as your IP address and browser, which it needs to deliver the video. They play in our own player: there are no YouTube or social media embeds.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our studio, and only what they need to do their job:

  • Vercel, which hosts our website. It processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep them secure (Vercel’s privacy policy).
  • Gumlet, which streams our films (Gumlet’s privacy policy).
  • Google, for website analytics (Google’s privacy policy).
  • Our email provider, which holds the messages we exchange with you.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, when needed.

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Information stored in other countries

Our service providers may store or process information outside your country, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong privacy and security practices, and share only what they need.

Security and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, change or disclosure: only the people who need it can see it, and our providers encrypt it in transit.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires:

  • Messages and enquiries: up to two years after we last spoke, unless we go on to work together.
  • Client records: while we work together, then as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
  • Website analytics: 14 months.

After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
  • Ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, out of date or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent where we rely on it.
  • Opt out of analytics, as described in Analytics and cookies.

To make a request, email support@ignaite.agency. We’ll check it’s you before we share or change anything, and reply within 30 days, free of charge. If we can’t do what you ask, we’ll explain why.

Your local law may give you more rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Please tell us first, so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
